We are saddened to report that our Finance Officer
Dirk Kruysman has been called to Post Everlasting.
Dirk served the American Legion for numerous years, and was the founding father of the Douglas County Veterans Forum. The Forum is the coalition of all 20 Veterans Organizations that reside in Douglas County Oregon. Dirk served as the Finance Officer and a Director of the Forum, and served as a citizen adviser to the Douglas County Veterans service office on the VAC.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Post Hosts the Four Chaplains
The Four Chaplains was held again at the Post Saturday February 13th, 2016
Emcee James Little read the history of the USAT Dorcehster , with Candle lighting by the representatives of the Four Chaplains.
We wish to thank CPT. Chance Chastain, Past Oregon Department 1st Vice-Commander Larry Hill, VA Chaplain Dwayne L. Brown, and Post Historian Kirk Conner for their help in this years event. Opening prayer Post Chaplain Ted Blann, Bagpiper Heidi Wood, Bell Ringing Dodie Blessing, and Taps played by Post Bugler Dave Davis.
Benediction was done by VFW Post 2468 Chaplain Bill Johnson
